Players and coaches of Go Round FC departed the city of Omoku on Thursday for a 2- week Christmas and New Year break.

The players had been locked in training since October ahead of the new Nigeria National League season that kicks off on the weekend of February 11, 2022.

The players are expected back in camp on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Meanwhile, club president, Charity Obuah is excited at the way the club went about their business just before they went on break.

“I am happy about the way the coaches and club management went about their business and I am very optimistic this time that we will reap the fruits of our labour.

“We missed out on the play-offs last year, but I know that this year will be very different. In pre-season, I followed their progress and the games they won 9-1 and 4-1,” Charity Obuah said.

“I have also told the players that they need to put in their better effort this year because promotion to the top division is the only thing that can compensate me, and my husband, Felix Obuah who has put in so much over the years as financier of the club with little or nothing coming back.”

The club president continued that she will make out time from her schedule to watch the team’s homes games this season so the players can feel her presence now than before.

“I will do my best to be a regular feature at the stadium when the team is playing. I believe my presence will spur the players to do better.”
