In recognition of his giant strides in human and community development, Youth of Niger Delta have presented award of Excellence to Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Council of Rivers State, Hon. Chidi Lloyd.
President of Niger Delta Youth Council, Comrade Ufuoma Victor Erharhine while presenting the award of excellence, eulogized leadership qualities of the local government boss, saying virtually every strata of Emohua Council had been positively touched since assumption of office by Dr. Lloyd.
He mentioned over 14 giant projects initiated and executed by Dr. Lloyd which he said had upgraded the socio-economic and political status of Emohua Local Government Area.
Building of police station at Emohua Campus of Rivers State University, Emohua Council Administrative Block, 350 Capacity ICT Studio, Council Pavilion, Council Marriage Registry and Chapel were some projects executed by the LG Boss, according to Comrade Erharhine.
Some included; extension of Emohua Local Government Primary Health-care Center, cold chain facility for vaccine storage, council pavilion, reconstruction and remodelling of of the council legislative complex and the council secretariat complex, marriage registry, procurement of 660KVA generator among others.
President of the Niger Delta Youth added that the LG Boss had constructed several roads linking important rural and urban areas, enhancing integration of people of the community and promoting trade in the process.
The Council Chairman, according to Comrade Erharhine has his door always open and accessible to the public which he said was responsible for promotion of peace and unity amongst people in the local government.
“Since the establishment of the Council, I can boldly tell you that we have an Local Government Boss whom we can be proud of anytime anywhere because he has achieved so much with available resources within his reach.
“He has touched and improved lives of youth and women within and beyond our community.
“Such a public office holder should be celebrated so that others will emulate his good and commendable achievements in office, this our society could be a good place for all.
“On behalf of youth of Niger Delta, we are proud to be associated with a rare achiever and exemplary leader worthy of emulation and declare to stand by him now and in future endeavors,” he assured.
