It was a gathering of friends of Dr. Manzo Maigari, former Commissioner of Agriculture, Kaduna State and Director-General, Nigeria Agribusiness Group to commemorate his 53th birthday.

However, the gathering turned out to be a rallying point of people of like minds to share ideas of the reality of life as it affects the state and the country in general.

As friends delivered their goodwill messages, the occasion became a time of true reflection of the present situation and how to forge together as a people, irrespective of any differences to usher in a better society for the wellbeing of all.

The celebrant, Dr Manzo Maigari, thanked all for honouring the invitation, saying that the essence of calling the people was for them to interact with each other as brothers and sisters, see themselves and share whatever everyone could eat to refresh each other and forget the present challenges.

Looking round all those in attendance, Dr. Maigari opined that everybody has a major role to play towards the uplifting of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State and the country as a whole.

He stressed that time has come for all to do away with whatever differences they may have and forge together as an entity towards embarking on a tangible project that could be of benefit to the general populace.

As all seated, he believed that there is the need for cooperation in order to move Southern Kaduna and the state forward, saying. “if we are truly determined, l see everyone doing something tangible that will end up putting smiles on the faces of our younger ones as we cannot expect the authorities to do everything for us. We must get up and help ourselves and our communities towards attaining the expectations of  life.”

He added, “We should leave this place with positive minds of what each  of us can to do to give life  meaning to our beloved ones so that together, we shall have something doing in order to curtail the social menace that is deeply affecting our corporate existence as a people.”

Mr James Kanyip, the Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of the state Deputy Governor, enjoined all to work towards the progress of Southern Kaduna and the state, calling on all to see the need of living with each other in peace for the overall development of the state.

Other speakers called on all sons and daughters of Southern Kaduna to work towards the progress of the area and the state, while wishing Dr. Manzo Maigari long life in his future endeavours.

Most of those who spoke at the occasion, hailed the efforts of the celebrant in trying in his little way in giving youth and women something doing in order to earn a living through farming.
