Foundation Science Win 5th Annual Kaduna Schools Athletics Championship

Foundation Science Secondary, Zaria, with 10 gold, three silver and five bronze medals have emerged winners of the 5th Annual Kaduna Schools Athletics Championship, which ended on Saturday at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello Stadium.

Top contenders, Faith Academy picked five gold and nine silver medals to finish second.

Demonstration College finished third with three gold and one silver medal.

Fourth place was claimed by Bethel Baptist High School, who garnered three gold medals.

Model Learning picked one gold and two silver medals to finish fifth, while
Excellent Zoom with three silver and two bronze, placed sixth on the medals table.

Ideal Secondary School got two silver and three bronze to finish seventh, GSS Sabo got two silver and two bronze to place eight, while Barnawa Baptist High School got one silver and eight bronze to settle for the ninth position.

Tenth position went to Onward Baptist who picked one silver, while Famaks British and
Standard Foundation failed to register their names on the medals table.

In an interview with newsmen after the competition, Coach Felix Osiebe one of the organisers, said he was impressed with the performance witnessed.

He thanked those that supported the competition, praying that God crowns their noble gesture with more resources.

“I want to extend appreciation to MicroManna, Manna Academy, Engineer Musa Nimrod, Princess Mabel Madojiemi and others who powered the two-day meet. May God continue to bless them abundantly,” he said.

The competition was organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) in collaboration with Coach Felix Academics &
Sports Foundation (CFASF).

It commenced on July 1 and was concluded on the following day.
