The Jigawa State Chapter of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has commended Governor Badaru Abubakar for his efforts towards the full control of flooding in the state during rainy season.
Speaking to our correspondent in Dutse, the state chairman of the association Alhaji Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga said that the governor is trying his best to ensure that the flood disaster is controlled and reduced with optimum results.
He added that, ” from what we have witnessed, his Excellency, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar is making efforts towards the control of flooding in Jigawa State, which is being recognized by the people of the state and by the special grace of God, there would be a great achievement in the near future,” he said.
Mai Unguwa Jaga disclosed that the recent signing of memorandum of understanding between the Jigawa State Government and Dutch experts to militate flooding is another progress that would enable the full control of the issue especially when it rains.
Mai Unguwa Jaga reiterated his association’s determination to ensuring that framing is getting boost in Jigawa State.
He assured that the state’s governor elect, Malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi would also facilitate agriculture, which has been the mainstay of the people of the state for decades.
