FIRS: Adedeji’s Appointment As Acting Chairman,  Welcome Development – Senator Alli

The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Senator Sharafadeen Alli has congratulated Dr. Zacchaeus Adedeji, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Revenue, on his appointment as acting Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

Senator Alli in a statement personally signed by him  on Thursday, said Dr. Adedeji’s appointment is not just a testament to his outstanding track records in public service, but  recognition of his immense contributions towards national growth and development.

The Senator pointed out that Dr. Adedeji as Special Adviser to the President,  exhibited a high level of competence, dexterity and commitment in the discharge of his duties. 

Senator Alli maintained that Dr. Adedeji’s appointment as  acting Chairman of FIRS, a critical institution in revenue generation and management of Nigeria’s resources, is well-deserved. 

“We hereby congratulate Dr. Zacchaeus Adedeji on his recent appointment as the acting Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS)”, he said. 

Senator Alli added, “This appointment is not just a testament to his outstanding track records in public service, but also a recognition of his immense contributions towards national growth and development”.

According to Senator Alli, Dr Adedeji possesses the requisite knowledge, skills, and experience to steer the affairs of FIRS, and thereby, expressed that he has the capability to further strengthen the agency’s capacity towards achieving  its mandate of revenue collection and administration.

Emphasizing that the appointment is coming at a time when Nigeria needs individuals with deep sense of professionalism and integrity to manage critical institutions such as FIRS, Senator Alli wished Adedeji  a successful tenure as acting Chairman of FIRS, and expressed  confidence that under his leadership, the agency would achieve greater heights.
