Acting Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, on Tuesday, called on Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) to carry out enlightenment to encourage adolescent girls to enrol in school and study science courses.
Dr. Hadiza Balarabe expressed her delight when the delegations of APWEN were on a courtesy visit to her office held at Government House in Kaduna.
In her remarks, the leader of the delegation, APWEN
State Chairperson, Engineer Aminat Umar Muhammad said the purpose of the visit was to identify with Dr. Hadiza Balarabe as a professional and a leader who has continued to be an inspiration and a model to women and the girl-child in the state and beyond.
Aminat described Dr Hadiza Balarabe as a “role model used as example that women have the capacity to govern“.
