Election: APC Wins Presidential Election In Oyo, Clears 3 Senatorial Seats

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was on Monday, declared winner of  the last Saturday Presidential election in Oyo State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) 

INEC Collation Officer for Oyo State, Professor Olusola Babatunde Kehinde while declaring Asiwaju Tinubu as winner of the election, said the APC candidate polled 449,884 from across the 33 local government areas of the state.

Professor Olusola Babatunde Kehinde,the acting Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku polled of 182,977 to come second while the Labour party candidate, Mr. Peter Obi polled 99,110 votes.

In the result, the INEC Coalition Officer stressed that ADP scored  2,298 votes , APGA  1,368 votes, APP 1,985 votes , NNPP  4,095 votes,  Accord 39,514 votes, SDP 14,517 votes  and ZLP  2,707 votes.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared all the three Senatorial District elections in the state with the APC Senatorial candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Barrister Sarafadeen emerging winner  with  111,513 votes to defeat Chief Olasunkanmi Tegbe of PDP who polled 92,481 and the Accord candidate, Mr Kolapo Kola-Daisi who polled  33,641.

For  Oyo North Senatorial District, the serving Senator representing the District, Senator Fatai Buhari won with 90,078 votes to defeat  Hon. Akinwale  Akinwole of Peoples Democratic Party (APC) who polled 77,034 votes and the Accord candidate,  Honorable Shina Peller .

Also, the APC candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District,  Dr. Yunus Akintunde also emerged winner in the Senatorial District.
