Barring any last minute change of plan, Kaduna State Government has taken a step to demolish some landed properties of Senator Ahmed Makarfi spread across the state capital.
New Nigerian learnt that notice of revocation was sent to officials of the property by Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) on Thursday May 18, 2023.
One of the affected property slated for demolition is Cane Properties located at Plot 11 Murtala Square.
Director of Cane property Alhaji Ibrahim Makarfi when contacted confirmed the development, adding that the company had already contracted its lawyers.
Sources in KADGIS confided in our correspondent that the demolition notice was in line with statutory regulations in the Land Use Act which empowered state governments the rights to approve and revoke landed properties within their jurisdiction for exigency and developmental reasons.
New Nigerian Newspapers could not however verify the reason for revoking Makarfi’s property, a former Governor of the state and national leader of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
