Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, of Kaduna State on Sunday declared the 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair, closed, while acknowledging the contributions of President Muhammadu Buhari to the fair by constructing the complex when he was the chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF).
The Governor expressed this at the 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair complex held in Kaduna on Sunday.
Speaking at the event, the Governor thanked all those who have ensured the success of the Kaduna International Trade Fair over the years.
He pledged that, the recommendations would be put together and forwarded for immediate action.
He declared 2018, 39th Kaduna International Trade Fair closed and looked forward to next year’s trade fair.
Earlier, President of the Kaduna Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA), Dr Muheeba Dankaka has described the 39th edition of the Kaduna International Trade Fair, which came to a close on Sunday, a huge success.
According to her, the chamber had achieved a lot in the past 10 days.
About 600 exhibitors participated in the fair, which started on February 23, 2018.
Dankaka said: “I am confident to say that the trade fair has provided the needed linkage between innovators, inventors and investors.
“It has also provided states and local producers the opportunity to showcase their products,” she said.
She advised exhibitors to make good use of the contacts they had and create the needed business partnership to increase their productivity and sustainability.
Dankaka noted that, the state government should make every provision and support to move the trade fair forward.
She added that, the Kaduna state Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad ElRufai deserve an appreciation for creating a conducive atmosphere for the exhibition.
She thanked security agencies for a good job throughout duration of the trade fair and pray for journey mercy for every individual to their destination.
Among the highlight of the closing ceremony were the Kaduna State cultural dancers who entertained guest at the venue of the trade fair.
