Eid-el-Kabir: AIG Adeleke Tasks Lagos, Ogun CPs On Adequate Protection

Commissioners of Police in Lagos and Ogun State Commands have been charged to be proactive and  ensure adequate protection for residents before, during and after the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

The Assistant Inspector General of Police  in charge of the Zonal Command, AIG Adeleke Adeyinka gave the charge in his Eid-el-Kabir  message.

Consequently, he has also deployed officers and men of Special Units to strategic areas to ensure lives and property are protected during the festive period.

In a statement by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), SP Hauwa Idris-Adamu, the cops who were drawn from the Anti-Cultism Section (ACS),  Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), Quick Intervention Unit (QIU), Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD), Counter Terrorists Unit (CTU), Police Mobile Force (PMF), Special Protection Unit (SPU), State/Divisional Motor Traffic Department (MTD), including Safer Highway Operatives and all Patrol and Guard Officers,  have been deployed to beef up security around Worship Centres, Market Places, Business Plazas, Highways, Relaxation Centres, Amusement,.

Meanwhile, the AIG has on behalf of Officers and Men of the Command wished  all Muslim faithfuls a happy and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration..

He enjoined members of the public to go about their lawful businesses and celebrate the yuletide without any fear of molestation/attack, assuring that adequate security measures have been put in place to hamper any ugly situation.
