The lawmaker representing Iseyin/ Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Honourable Shina Peller on Monday, charged Christians to emulate the good things that Jesus Christ stands for.
Honourable Peller expressed this in a goodwill message he personally shared on his social pages to congratulate Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
He stressed that, “Jesus Christ represents perfect example of what a good Christian and God-fearing person should be”, adding, ” so, as we celebrate Easter, let’s try to emulate all the good things that Jesus Christ stood for.
“I rejoice with my Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of Easter celebration.Every Easter always reminds us of how loving, caring humble, tolerant, peaceful, forgiving and sacrificial Jesus Christ, otherwise known as Prophet Isa, (peace be unto him) was”, he said.
Hon Peller added “Indeed, Jesus Christ represents perfect example of what a good Christian and God-fearing person should be. So, as we celebrate Easter, let’s try to emulate all the good things that Jesus Christ stood for”.
“Importantly, as we celebrate Easter, we should remember the needy in our midst and reach out to them in whatever way we can, bearing in mind that every good deed will be rewarded no matter how long it takes. We shouldn’t forget that Jesus Christ encouraged giving alms to the needy, especially during a period like this”
The lawmaker stressed, “Once again, I wish everyone of us Happy Easter celebration and pray that we witness many more of it on earth. Amen.”
