The Bishop of First Baptist Church Zaria, Kaduna State, Reverend Isaac G. Gbadero has called on Nigerians to collectively imbibe the spirit of love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence as a virtue that can lead our nation to a meaningful progress.
Rev. Gbadero who made the call in his Easter message to Nigerians,stressing that the Easter period should serve as a reminder to all of the selflessness, love,sacrifice and tolerance of Jesus Christ throughout his early sojourn his death and his resurrection.
He said the challenges we are going through should not be strange to is as well the difficulties because we call it a week of passion as Jesus went through pains,challenges and difficulties and in the book of John chapter 16 verses 33 he said in that world we face challenges and we should clear it up as he will over come for us.
The Bishop emphasized that, the commemoration of resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a celebrating with bad activities but a period like this is all the Jews come down to celebrate Easter the spirit God.
He said it is not the spirit of alcohol, funication, abduction, fighting, and killings but the spirit that the Holy Spirit came down as he promised, for the spirit of liberty that would deliver us the through love into every man that gives himself to Jesus Christ.
According to him for a nation to progress,we must eschew all divisive, parochial, ethnic, religious sentiment, rivalries and to live more harmoniously with one another as Jesus Christ enjoined.
