An Ebonyi business mogul and one time governorship aspirant during the 2015 general elections, Arch Edward Ngwegu has admonished Christians in Nigeria to use this period of Easter celebration to pray for peace and unity of Nigeria because no nation of the world will grow economically, politically, socially and otherwise without peace and unity.
Architect Nkwegu in his Easter message to Nigerians in Abakaliki, expressed hope that just as the period of Easter brings salvation to mankind, the period would also serve as a moment of sober reflection, spiritual rejuvenation and a moment to pray for unity and peaceful coexistence of this country more especially now that Nigeria is passing through so many challenges.
He therefore, charged christians to always engage in fervent prayers no matter the denomination  for the continued peace and stability of this country.
“Easter period to us as Christians is a moment of spiritual rebirth, a time for sober reflection and prayers. We need  to take stock of our relationship with our maker and adjust where necessary  for continued cordial  relationship with God.
“It is important for us as christians to use this season for fervent prayers for the Unity and  peaceful coexistence of this country.
“Let us try to avoid at this period all negative behaviours that will destroy our relationship with God. I wish my fellow christians and Nigerians a very glorious Easter celebration.”
He also called on political office holders to use this period to touch many lives positively by engaging in philanthropic work in order to assist the less privileged ones and the downtrodden in the society.
