In continuation of its effort towards empowering and reducing jobless youth, the Borno State Government under the able leadership of the  Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, has again, trained over 200 youth on Agency Banking and e-Naira programme in collaboration with Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultant Limited, Kama Integrated Services Limited and BRMFB.

The beneficiaries were also trained on e-Naira programme of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Speaking on behalf of the governor at the two days special training which was held in Biu LGA of Borno, the  Commissioner for Youth and Empowerment, Hon. Sa Inna Buba said Zulum has directed for the training of 200 youth from Borno North and Borno East on Point of Sales (POS), Agency banking and e-Naira programme.

Hon. Sa Inna added that since insecurity challenges have drastically reduced in some parts of the state, the government would not relent in its efforts towards empowering the teeming youth in the state.

Zulum commended the three partners for their continuous unflinching efforts in partnering  the state government in empowering the youth. 

In his remarks, the chairman of Biu LGA who was represented by the Council’s Secretary, Hajiya Larai Magira, hailed Governor Zulum’s tireless efforts towards empowering youth in the state.

The chairman noted that Zulum’s administration is far ahead of his counterparts in improving the living standards of youth in the state through various empowerment he initiated and implemented in the state.

While urging the beneficiaries to continue to be good ambassadors of the state  during and after the training, he also appealed to them to make good use of the training as the era of white collar job is now  over.

Also speaking, the Chairman CEO of Bizi Mobile Cashless Consultant Limited, Dr. Aminu Bizi commended Zulum for his determination in improving the living standards of Borno State’s  youth, stressing that Bizi  is always ready to partner the state government towards training and re-traning of youth.

Dr. Aminu added, that it is because of his company’s determination that CBN gave them a node to train youth, especially on Agency Banking, e-Naira programme and other modern business transactions across Nigeria.

He further explained that, under e-Naira programme, Bizi Mobile has so far trained over 100,000 across Nigeria, adding that, plans are also on to train and secure jobs for over 200,000 youth on Agency Banking and e-Naira programme before the end of 2022. 

In an interview with some of the beneficiaries, they commended Governor Zulum, local government council and the organizers for the training, saying that since   graduation from their various institutions of higher learning,  they have been jobless.
