Following the rising spate of insecurity in some communities in Ebonyi State, dusk-to-dawn curfew was placed by the council chairman of Ohaozara LGA, Hon.Chinonso Ajah to rescue the current state of insecurity in various communities.

The communities affected are  Okposi, Uburu and Ngwulangwu respectively in Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi State.

According to the council chairman, all human and vehicular movements are restricted throughout the period of this curfew which starts from 6:00pm on  June 8, 2023 till further notice.

“All forms of movements including activities of motorcyclists and commercial tricycle operators within the areas have been outlawed.

“The people are advised to adhere to this directive to avoid further threat to peace in the council area,’’ Ajah warned.

It would be recalled that there has been series of attacks in Ohaozara LGA during and after the election where a ward councilor was killed during the election, while about three cars were burnt few days ago by unidentified gunmen.

Currently, normalcy has been restored in the areas mentioned above, as people are going about their normal businesses peacefully without fear nor interruption.
