The deposed Wazirin Bauchi has vowed to take a revenge by scuttling the second term bid of Governor Bala Mohammed in the scheduled March gubernatorial elections in Bauchi.

The deposed Waziri, who boosted that he brought Governor Bala Mohammed to power via the 2019 general elections, said, “The way I brought him into office, will also be the way to get himself out of power.”

Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Kirfi, in response to his dethronement by the Bauchi state Government for what was described as ‘disloyalty and disrespect’ to Governor Bala Mohammed.

The Bauchi emirate council said in a letter signed by the Council Secretary, Alhaji Shehu Mudi Muhammad and dated 3rd January 2023 that it removed the former Wazirin Bauchi, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Kirfi because of what it described as “disloyalty and disrespect to the state governor”.

The removed Waziri said, “I regard what happens to me as a simple incident because something has been worrying in my mind. I am one of those who stood for him to become the governor and I was little bit disappointed”.

Kirfi added, “This is the worse he can do to me, but it doesn’t matter because I am not gaining anything from the office (Waziri) I am holding in the emir’s palace.

“I was instrumental in bringing him to power in 2019. At the time when Bala needed the critical support to actualize his political ambition, I was there for him all through. I did all I could to see that he emerged victorious against a government that enjoyed federal might at that time.”

According to him, ‘the governor betrayed the trust of all the political gladiators that made huge sacrifices to bring him to power’, pointing out that the governor had fought every single political big shot in Bauchi that worked for his victory in the 2019 general election.

Alhaji Muhammad Bello Kirfi positioned, “I leave everything to Almighty Allah. He will judge between what is between me and him”.

It could be recalled that the former Wazirin Bauchi, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Kirfi was removed from his office in the emirate council by the state government through a directive to the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, as same was extended to the Bauchi emirate council which followed suit as far below:

“Iam directed to refer to the letter received from the Ministry of Local Government Affairs of reference No: MLGA/LG/S/72/T dated 30th December, 2022.

“The content of the said letter indicated your disloyalty and disrespect to the Executive Governor of the state and the government. It therefore directed for your removal with immediate effect”

“In view of the above, you are hereby removed from office as Wazirin Bauchi and also as Member of Bauchi Emirate.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu has appointed Alhaji Muhammad Uba Ahmed Kari as the new Waziri of Bauchi.

A Senior Councilor in the Bauchi Emirate Council, the appointment of Muhammad Uba Ahmad Kari followed the removal of the incumbent, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Kirfi for alleged gross indiscipline and disloyalty to the Bauchi state government.

It would be recalled that the immediate past Wazirin Bauchi, Alh. Muhammad Bello Kirfi was removed by the emirate council following what it was termed as “Disrespect and Disloyalty” to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed
