Delta Assembly Will Not Be Distracted BY Increased Political Activities – Deputy Speaker

Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Honorable Ochor Christopher Ochor has assured of more people oriented bills and motions in the State Legislature that would promote peace and development in the state.

Speaking in an interview after Thursday’s plenary, the Deputy Speaker said that despite the increase in political activities, members would not be distracted in their primary duties as legislators.

Rt. Hon Ochor explained that the year 2021 was eventful in the state legislature with the passage of a good number of bills and motions for the peace and good governance of the state.

He said there would be more impactful bills in the 2022 fiscal year as the House was determined at ensuring sustained progress in the state.

The Deputy Speaker stated that the Delta Assembly has been working closely with the executive for the good governance of the state, assuring that the both arms of government would not relent in that regards.

Rt. Honourable Ochor who represents Ukwuani Constituency in the House, commended the cordial working relationship among various critical stakeholders in the development of the state.

While calling for continued support of Deltans, Rt. Honourable Ochor said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa was not relenting in achieving the Stronger Delta vision of his administration.

He assured of the maximum collaboration with the state legislature at enhancing the tempo of development across all sectors of the economy in the state.

The Deputy Speaker urged the people of Ukwuani Constituency and the Ndokwa nation to remain focused and committed to the progress and development of the state.
