“My dear Deltans the long awaited day was yesterday, Wednesday May 25, 2022 when our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) concluded the primaries at the state level with that of the Governorship Aspirants.

“It has been a long preparation and God was with us throughout the period of the journey, with hope to deliver our template for the development of the state, through our PROJECT TEAM: Delta Transformation Roadmap, which captures my covenant with Deltans.

“Yes, the result is out, it was not in our favour, I however, give God the Glory for taking us through the journey, I thank members of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for their wonderful support, and not forgetting the great people of Delta for their solidarity, and prayers. It was all wonderful.

“However, we will continue to pursue our dream to build a strong, resilient and prosperous economy at the doors of all Deltans and reinforcing our unity by promoting the spirit of consensus and co-operation where every Deltans will see each other as members of an indivisible, prosperous family irrespective of ethnic background.

“Though many things played out in preparation to the primary, that will not cause us to abandon our vision, strongly driven by love, and nationalistic plans for the state.

“I will also use this medium to congratulate the winner, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevbori who scored the highest vote for the party ticket to fly the flag of the party in 2023 Governorship election. I wish him well as he prepares for the race and all his future endeavours.

“I thank you all, our party, the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, those that see the good in my plans and voted for me, praying that we will all see yesterday as gone, and the leaders of the party will work for a unified family as we move towards 2023.”
