*says Dakingari, followers were enticed with cash

Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State, Haruna Sa’aidu on Thursday said there was no cause for alarm in regards to the recent defection of former Governor of the state, Saidu Nasamu Dakingari and 257 others from the party to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
He told journalists in Birnin Kebbi shortly after meeting of the Executive Members of the party held at the Secretariat of PDP.
“I Don’t look at their defection as a threat or causing backward to our party PDP in the state rather than by this development we now have peace and absolute unity among our teaming supporters”
“We were told that shortly after their defection, they were seen at Government House where they collected GHANA-MUST GO bags with full of one thousand Naira notes
“Before, when they were with us, they only made noise and caused confusion and at same time distracted the attention of our members.” He added.
According to him, PDP now will be more united in Kebbi State and would soon come out with new strategies on how to topple the APC government in the state.
He called on PDP members to remain calm as the party was trying to seek possible ways of harmonizing the welfare of its supporters across the state.
