Hon.Alh.(Dr). Dayyabu Yusuf Garga (Walin Garga), the Executive Chairman of Kanam Local Government Council has received leadership of joint delegation of Council of Elders and Youth Council of Garga Development Association at his Office in Dengi, at the Local Government Council Secretariat.
The delegation was led by Alh. Auwal Idris Mari, axting Chairman of the forum and Mas’ud Shuaibu, acting Secretary of Garga Development Association.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Alh. Mari congratulated the Chairman on his victory at the last elections, giving him the rare opportunity to serve his people once again, owing to the landmark achievements recorded by his previous administration as the Honourable Commissioner, Mr. Mari stated that Garga Development Association is proud of him and has always been with and will continue to with him, describing him as their worthy son,
He therefore, rededicated their solidarity and continuous support to the noble administration of Walin Garga. Hon. Sadat M. Garga, former member representing Kantana State Constituency of Plateau State House Assembly, Garga Development Association enjoined the Council Chairman to put behind political differences while the last Campaigns lasted and get to the business of governance which he is well known to be good at.
In his response, the acting Secretary of the Forum, Mr. Mas”ud also on behalf of the of Garga Development Association assured the Chairman of their resolve to throw their weight behind his administration so it serves the people better than it did in the last dispensation.
Appreciating the delegation for finding time to visit him, he expressed his sincere gratitude for their show of love and when he contested for Chairmanship aspirant leading to his victory. He said he has since thrown the past behind him, noting that politics comes with interest and everyone can side where his interest lies. He however added that now that we are done with elections, all hands must be on deck to give the area the face it deserves.
He further affirmed his commitment to ensure that government’s presence is registered in all nooks and crannies of the LGA.
