Community Health Workers Welcome  Production Of  License Online

Arising from its State Executive Council meeting, the National Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (NACHPN) Kaduna State branch  has welcomed the decision of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) to  Produce license through it’s website.

Kaduna State branch Chairman, Comrade Abdulrshid Aliyu Umar who disclosed this to New Nigerian, said the digitization of standing order and license number will serve as the password.

At the meeting, the chairman also disclosed that any  License  more than  three months in the state custody, would be returned to the board.

Alhaji Aliyu also emphasized that the CHPRBN has approved the review of new training curriculum  and examination process.

The SEC meeting called on all its members to expect the establishment of specialized courses like Community Nutrition, Community Epidemiology, Community Ear Care from the CHPRBN.

While welcoming the idea of establishment of Institute of Community Health by the CHPRBN as well as mandatory continuous education before license.

The chairman said that liaison offices will be established across the country by  CHPRBN to ease its administration.

Comrade Aliyu A. Umar at the SEC meeting, stressed that the introduction of BSc CH, PGDE CH in Federal University Dutsen-Ma and Jigawa have come to stay for members that wants to further their education.

The CHPRBN has signed an MoU with NBTE to enhance professionalism and academic pursuance by its members.

 The CHPRBN has gone on visitation to KASU, Dutsen-Ma, Jigawa, Gombe and Akure respectively, to request the university to mount degree programs at the universities.

Comrade  Umar therefore, directed all local government officials to go and sensitize their members on this development.

He charged them to always check their members in ensuring  that professional ethics are being observed as well as the dress code is adhered to  by all members.

During the meeting, the National President of the association, Comrade Kabiru Yahaya Ahmed charged members to focus on their community develepment. schedules of duties and to avoid absenteeism from work.

He advised members not to relent on training, in order to update their knowledge as the world is going global, particularly in the health sector.
