Commissioner Hails Dikko Radda’s Commitment To Katsîna Citizens Needs

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has been appreciated for his commitment to better the lives of the common people in the areas of education, health, agriculture, water supply and others sectors of human endeavours in the state.

The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,  Professor Badamasi Lawal made this known when he led a powerful team from the Ministry to inspect Phase 2 Projects undertaken by the Chairman of Mani local government area.

It would be recalled that the governor released 1.8 billion Naira to local council chairmen to execute Phase 1 Projects subject to consultation with local communities, after which he recently released another 2.4 billion Naira to same chairmen to undertake Phase 2 Projects.

The projects according to the commissioner, include,  rehabilitation and renovation of both Western and Islamic schools as well as clinics and dispensaries, construction of mosques and roads, provision of potable drinking water and electricity among others.

Professor Badamasi Lawal was overwhelmed with how two blocks of two classrooms each and three classrooms block were rehabilitated at Ajiya Primary School Mahuta, where the commissioner personally pledged to provide uniforms to some pupils and directed the education secretary of the area to ensure the commencement of school activities next Monday.

The commissioner and his team also inspected a 350m long drainage with seven culverts along

Katsina/Mani road  in Gawon Mala Village.

 Construction of a Juma’at Mosque was also inspected at Hakon Hawa Village with an ongoing constituency project of 3.2Km rural feeder road from Mani/Dutsi road Junction to Bujawa Village.

In a remark, Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Alhaji Salisu Musa Batsari commended the chairman for a good job and urged the benefitting communities to ensure proper utilization of the projects.

 The chairman of the local council,  Dr. Yunusa Bagiwa expressed appreciation and applauded the state government and Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for showing much concern on the plight of the common man.
