The Senior Pastor of House of Purpose Ministry, Unguwan Sunday in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Apostle Yakubu Yusuf has urged Nigerians to continue to praise and worship God in spite of any challenges they may be experiencing.
He asserted this during the rounding up of the 2022 National Convention of the ministry, held in Kaduna on Sunday.
Apostle Yakubu said that, It is not only when one prays against perceived enemies that one will be free from myriad of attacks, but also when one is committed to God through thanksgiving, praise and worship.
Apostle Yakubu who was speaking on the theme, “Praise for breaking the Gate of limitations” said apart from prayers, praises are another effective way of communicating with God and getting His attention to rescue Nigerians from whatever situation they find themselves.
Reading from the Book of Joshua 1:1-2, he opined that, “when you praise God in a dance, you are adding colour to God and He adds colour to your life. “So raise the ego of God with your praises to enjoy the good things of life,” he said.
Apostle Yakubu explained that gates of brass are physical and spiritual barriers that have denied some from entering good places.
“For example, the gatekeeper can stop you from entering an organization and hinder you from collecting what belongs to you. Physical gates of brass can be your husband, wife, children, siblings, friends, neighbours; they really can be anyone,” he pointed out.
He further stressed that the gates of brass are difficulties, setbacks, troubles. “They are the powers that stop a man in life.
” Gates can be physical wall that we can see or spiritual barriers that only God can make us see. If you don’t know how to tackle those spiritual barriers, they can stop you,” he explained.
Apostle Yakubu informed Nigerians that God doesn’t work with the economy of a country to bless them, “because when He says a thing, no one can stop you”.
He expressed dismay that some people even see the spiritual barrier, but they don’t know the solution to it.
“King Saul saw Goliath as a physical barrier, but he never saw him as a spiritual barrier for 40 days and nights, until David came. David came and saw the spiritual barrier called Goliath and he attacked him from the spiritual.
“If you don’t deal with the spiritual aspect, you cannot win in the physical. It was not the stone that David threw that entered and killed Goliath, but the power of God located the stone and it entered Goliath’s head and it made him fall asleep for David to cut off his head completely. Whether visible or invisible, the assignment of such gates is to stop a man from moving forward.
“God promised us in Isaiah 45:2-3 that, “I will go before you and make the crooked places straight, I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron; I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you know that I, the Lord, who called you by your name, I am the God of Israel.
“God needs to clear the way for you to be able to take delivery of the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of the secret place; until the gates of brass are pulled down, there will not be any secret riches.
The cleric said, “the gate of brass includes: Delay one is experiencing in issues, betrayal by friends, siblings problems, sickness and financial embarrassment.”
Others according to him, are, unstable spiritual life, continuous negative dreams bareness of good things, hatred and rejection.marital distress sin and unfriendly friends.
He, however, assured that God will go before the country in its journey, to elect new leaders in the 2023 elections and make the what seems like crooked places straight.
