The Resident Pastor of Catalyst Church, Kaduna Pastor Ken Airhunde has called on Christians to desist from acts that are capable of brining disrepute to the body of Jesus Christ and the message of hope and peace he brought to the world.
Pastor Airhunde gave this advice in response to allegations and statements by some people that the activities of the Christian umbrella, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) was marred in corruption and handled by people of questionable character.
According to him, “if you discover that a particular body or organization is not steered properly, it then means you are or have solutions, hence, your ability to identify the fault.”
Pastor Airhunde urged Christians to be careful what falls from their mouths (statements) because as followers of Jesus Christ they are expected to be light in this dark world.
“As people of light, you are expected to carry light everywhere you go, not the other way. Yes, there can and always be problems at homes and places of work, but one is not expected to dry every dirty linen in public,” he emphasized.
On what was his take on the issue, he said he was yet to get a clearer picture of what is really happening in CAN, but, urged those making careless utterances to scrutinize the workings of CAN before drawing conclusions.
Said he: “They should carry out a thorough investigation before making unguarded statements that might land them in trouble.”
He added that in taking the word of God further his Church catalyst church, will be holding a programme titled “ ignite conference” with theme; “Greater works” from February 23rd -25th 2018.
This he said is aimed at taking the gospel to the ends of the world and Kaduna is not exempted. “There will be anointed men of God at the conference, Pastor Tunji, Akinola of International House of His presence, Port Harcourt and Dan-Paul Fredrick of City of Grace, Kaduna, will be there.. The conference will hold at our church premises,” he concluded.
