*66 wives of Ward chairman across party lines get N150,000 empowerment

Ward chairmen and their spouses from the three major political parties, All Progressives Congress (APC), People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) from Chikun and Kajuru local government areas of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone were shocked by the magnanimity of the member representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams as he doled out goodies to them and other constituents.
At the venue, Goshen Gardens in Sabon Tasha, traditional rulers, politicians across party lines, were hosted by Honourable Ekene who tagged it, “Election victory and inauguration celebration”.
During the event, 66 ward chairmen from APC, PDP and LP, saw each of their wives receive a N150,000 empowerment.
Ekene told the wives that they are expected to use the money in profitable business to support their husbands in the house upkeep.
“Politics has come and gone, it is now time for governance and governance encompasses all irrespective of party,” he said.
Also at same venue, the first time member of the Green Chambers presented 10 electric power transformers to communities whom.he promised during the 2023 electioneering campaign.
Their community leaders, chiefs, and their people were presented with the transformers at the colourful event.
Similarly, six of those who contributed to his success at the polls, including his campaign director general were each presented with brand new cars.
Two others were given brand new motorcycles.
Other activities at the epoch event, included traditional dances from Idoma, Igbo, Gbagyi, Adara and other ethnic groups.
