With few days to the general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin on Saturday, said cabals in the country want to frustrate this year’s general elections
Featuring on Fresh 105.9 FM Ibadan live programme, South West political circuit on Saturday, Senator Folarin declared that the cabals are doing everything possible to ensure that the general elections do not hold.
Specifically, the APC governorship candidate pointed out that the cabals are determined to stop the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu from winning the 2023 Presidential election with what is happening in the country
Senator Folarin emphasized that there is the need for Nigerians frustrate the plans of the cabals by bearing with the present hardships in the land arising from the scarcity of naira notes and fuel which according to him is aimed at stopping Asiwaju Tinubu’s Presidential ambition.
The APC governorship candidate said the Cabals are already jittery of Asiwaju Tinubu becoming the President realizing that he is able and capable as well as the answer to the problems facing Nigeria as a country.
” Let me say here that Asiwaju Tinubu is going to Abuja to restructure Nigeria. It is no longer business as usual in Nigeria as soon as Tinubu wins. Asiwaju Tinubu is bold, they know this. Let us support him to win the Presidential election,” he said.
The APC governorship candidate added, ” we are appealing to our people to bear with us on the present situation in the country, we are very sorry for all what is happening. Don’t allow them to play their game. People will vote and their vote will be counted”.
Senator Folarin maintained that it is glaring that all what we are witnessing in Nigeria including the scarcity of naira notes and fuel are part of the plots by the cabal at stopping Asiwaju Tinubu from becoming the next President of Nigeria
” All what we are witnessing in the country now are the Cabals fighting
back at Tinubu on his plans to remove subsidy on Petroleum. He should have kept quiet. I know the guys will fight and that is what they are doing now”.
Condemning the scarcity of naira notes, Senator Folarin said the scarcity was never part of the APC policies as well as not that of the Federal government as Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) is independent on its own
Senator Folarin said it was wrong for the Central Bank of Nigeria to have given deadline on the swapping of the old naira notes to new ones, saying, this is against the CBN Act which allows for gradual phase out of the the old naira notes.
On Oyo State governorship election, Senator Folarin said he is the only candidate taking his campaign to all the nooks and crannies of the state and sure of winning the March 11 governorship election in the state.
