The Vice Chancellor, Bayero University Kano has announced that the institution is ranked number five after the 2024 universities assessment and ranked second in terms of international outlook.
He disclosed this at the 38th convocation on Saturday, where the university graduated 11,284 in 18 faculties, reassuring that the institution would continue to maintain status quo with optimum results.
During the ceremony, 180 students received first class honours, and conferred higher degrees and post graduate diplomas on 5,432 graduands who completed their studies at the university.
The convocation was graced by the Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, the Senate President, Godswil Akphabio, while the deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin and the president of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina were conferred with Doctorate degrees for their contributions to the development of education.
