Buhari Youth Congress For Change (BYCC), has called on the National Assembly to put aside their political differences with the Presidency in order to redeem their campaign promises for Nigerians.
The call was contained in a statement jointly signed by its Chairman Daura Branch and his Secretary, Comrade Musa Badamasi Daura and Comrade Rabiu S. Fada Daura respectively.
According to the statement which was issued to newsmen, the  chairman observed the un ending political feud between the two, would not augur well for the country in particular and Nigerians as a whole, but only led to general backwards.
“We are calling on the National Assembly to give peace a chance, so that for President Muhammadu Buhari to concentrate and work for teeming Nigerians especially the masses.”
“We are reminding them to know that majority of them were elected due to President Buhari’s popularity.”
“It is unfortunate that they have become a stumbling block for Buhari’s yearning and aspiration  to work for Nigerians.”
“We the masses voted for the members of the National Assembly and it is very unfortunate that they are only concerned about their personal interests instead of the interest of the generality of the electorates.
“We are urging them to be law abiding and respect the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not to engage the Executive in unnecessary issues that will not augur well for Nigerians.
“Though, we are commending some of them that are seriously behind the President’s good works, especially our  Senator representing Daura Zone, Senator Engr. Mustafa Bukar Madawakin Daura, for his doggedness towards the flight of Nigerian masses and we are calling on his counterparts to emulate him so that the country can forge ahead,” it stated
The group reaffirmed its 100 per cent  support for President Buhari’s policies and programmes especially the war on corruption.
“We are also supporting President Buhari’s determination towards reviving the nation’s economic sector and job opportunities especially for the youth,” it added.
