The Borno State House of Assembly (BOSHA), has announced the outcome of the screening of the 27 Local Government Council (LGC) Caretaker Chairmen nominees forwarded to the house for verification and subsequent assent as required by the 1999 constitution as amended.
The Speaker, BOSHA, Rt. Hon. Anbdulkarim Lawan in a statement issued on Friday, released the names of the successful new 27 LGC Caretaker Chairman as provided by the law for a period of six months before the election of substantive LGC chairmen through the ballot.
It would be recalled that few days ago, the Borno State Commissioner for Local Government and Emirate Affairs, Hon. Sugun Mai Meleh has announced the dissolution of the 27 LGCs Executive Chairmen who were elected two years ago and sworn in to serve their people at the grassroots for a period of only two years as recommended by the State House of Assembly under Local Government Administration Law 2000 ( as amended) .
The official list of the caretaker chairmen of the 27 local government areas of Borno State include:

The Speaker congratulated them while urging them to repose the confidence government have on them while assuring them the state lawmakers continuous support and cooperation to serve their people better when finally sworn in by the governor in subsequently at a date to be announced later.
