Bichi Local Government Council has constituted a high-powered committee that would investigate the cause of Badume Market fire inferno that resulted in the loss of property.
This was disclosed by the executive Chairman of the council, Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, while briefing our correspondent about the recent occurrence of the incident on Thursday night, adding that the committee has been directed to submit its report in two weeks.
Dr. Sabo reiterated his administration’s determination to ensurinv that excellent measures are taken to avoid future occurrence of market fire outbreak across his domain and commiserated all those who lost their property as a result of the incident.
The committee is headed by the council’s Vice Chairman, Alhaji Idris Umar, while the representatives of the District Head of Bichi, Divisional Police Officer, SSU, local government DSS OC, fire service, Hisbah commandant and Zahraddeen Express are included.
Similarly, the Head of Department, Community Development, OF CIB and Malam Haruna Sani Saye, the Director personnel management of the local government is to serve as the secretary of the committee.
