Be Dedicated To Protection Of Life, Property, Oyo NSCDC Commandant Tasks Personnel

Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Corp Commandant  (CC) Michael Adaralewa has tasked officers and men of the command to surrender themselves to the protection of lives and property of the people of the state.

CC Adaralewa gave the charge while declaring open a 3-day training programme for Divisional heads and other officers and men of the corps themed,  “Prosecution as a tool for effective service delivery and special tactics needed on surveillance at worship centres in Oyo State”.

He stressed that training  is part of ingredients to prepare the officers and men of the Corps towards the security challenges in the Country and to preserve the integrity of the nation. 

Corp Commandant Adaralewa disclosed that this can be done by the officers and men, making use of the knowledge acquired during the training shown in their service delivery to the safety of the State.

The Head of Training Department of the corps in the state, DCC Kabir Baffa emphasized the need for the officers and men of the Corps to understand the effective way of defending the defenceless .

Stressing that defending the defenceless stands as the only assignment saddled the Security agencies in the country, FCC Baffa said “if the officers that supposed to protect does not know the techniques of protecting is a disaster” said DCC Baffa Kabir.

The head of Intelligence and investigation department of the Corps, Deputy Commandant Soji Akingbade in his lecture on the importance of information gathering for effective policing as a tool in successful operations said without credible and prompt intelligence gathering there will not be any successfully completed operations. 

Deputy Commandant Akingbade enjoined the participants and the general public to always inform the Corps with credible information about the happiness in their jurisdiction. 

While speaking on Special Tactics needed on surveillanceat worship centres in Oyo State, deputy Commandant Patunola Oladeji the head of Operations of the Corps in the State hammered on the importance of understanding our environment as a tip in policing or protecting the people of the State especially during the worship on Fridays and Sundays in the State.

 “We have started and we shall continue to be present at all worship centres in the state as implemented by the Commandant General of the Corps, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni phd.

The head of legal unit in the State Suprintendent Kabir Babatunde gave some legal tips to the participants on judicial process of filling cases for prosecution. Also in attendance is the assistant Commandant Agbetiloye Kolawole the Area C commander Takie Ogbomosho and Deputy Suprintendent Olafimihan Dele from Counter Terrorism unit who takes participants on drill and Marshall art.
