Bauchi Police Operatives Arrest Kidnappers  In Ningi LGA

Police operatives in Bauchi  State have arrested six suspected gangs of kidnappers and their informants in which four males and two  females, terrorizing Burra village in Ningi Local Government Area of the state were nabbed.

The suspects are, Hamisu Umaru  aged 30yrs, Ahmadu Abdullahi 18yrs, Adamu Wada Tela 18yrs, 

Usman Iliya15yrs, Rabi Tela Abdulmumini and Hajara Bello, the two female informants.  

The arrest of the six suspects, according to the State Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed, was insinuations to the command operations which led to the dismantling of the kidnapper’s hideout situated at Burra Forest of the Ningi LGA.

CP Auwal Mohammed told a pres conference on Bauchi that due to the intense superior firepower by the police during the operation, so many kidnappers were neutralized while others scamper in disarray and escaped with bullet wounds.

“Moreover, during the operations, police have rescued five kidnapped victims from their den, among them includes; Mai Unguwan Kayel village under Balma district, Three Fulani from Kurmi with their three  motorcycles and a woman and her child from Kurmi village and reunited them with their respective families hale and hearty”.

During the organized courageous operation, the command’s operatives were able to dismantled kidnappers/banditry and cattle rustlers syndicates 

CP Mohammed revealed that subsequent operation of the.vommand yielded immense positive results which led to the rescue of another five (5) kidnapped victims from different kidnapper’s enclaves at Burra Forest, Ningi LGA.

He further disclosed that two (2) suspected kidnappers were also arrested alongside seventy (70) Cows, sixty (60) Sheep’s and Goats suspected to be rustled, were also recovered by the operatives

In a ralated development, the Command arrested team of cattle rustlers terrorizing Ningi and beyond, sequel to which upon

information received from good samaritan, two unknown people armed with cutlasses and sticks trespassed into the house of one Haruna Idi aged 23yrs of Zahi of hamlet in Burra village, and beat the occupant to an unconscious condition and made away with his Cows. 

“On receipt of information, a team of detectives drafted from Ningi Divisional Headquarters swung into action, rushed to the scene and found one of the culprits by name Abubakar Ahmed ‘m’ aged 45yrs was neutralized by mob action and arrested Abdullahi Ahmadu ‘m’ aged 22yrs and recovered the Cows from them”. 

Furthermore, on 1/08/2023 at about 1500hrs, 

Similarly, Bauchi police detectives in conjunction with the Nigerian Army and other Quasi security outfits arrested four (4) members of kidnapper’s groups stationed within Kongoro Community while observing the movement of the Communities.

The suspects included Rahane Abubakar, Habu Tukur aged 23yrs of Kongoro, Mohammed Rabiu aged 40yrs of Kongoro, Idris Haruna and

Sule Haruna, among others.

CP Auwal Mohammed assured that the command would not shy away from its constitutional mandate of protecting the life and property of the hard-working citizens/residents through robust synergy/partnership with all relevant stakeholders in the state.

He attributed the groundbreaking recorded by the command would to the strategic review of the its operations through robust partnership with other sister security agencies, community participation and intelligence led-policing in the state.
