A renowned political activist and strong pillar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi, the Sarkin Arewa, Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Sheriff is dead.
Sarkin Arewan Bauchi died in a ghastly auto-crash on Sunday, along Akwanga – Bauchi road on his way back home from Abuja.
Alhaji Hassan Mohammed Sheriff departed the temporal world along with two other females reportedly in the same vehicle with him.
The deceased third son, Amb. Khalid Arewa confirmed the death of his father, informing that it occured on a hospital-bed in Akwanga, Nasarawa State.
Also on the confirmation of the death of Sarkin Arewan Bauchi to the press, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Aliyu Jallah, the deceased political party.
Family sources said that the deceased body would be flown back home, Bauchi on Monday afternoon for burial by 4: 00pm. May his soul rest in perfect peace, ameen.
Sarkin Arewa Sheriff was one of the coordinators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial Campaign Organization in the state and a member of the party’s State Publicity Committee who is almost every day in a radio programme publicizing the activities of the party ahead of the 2023 polls.
The APC Public Relations Officer in the state, Adamu Aliyu Jallah who confirmed the involvement in the accident of Sarkin Arewa to the Leadership Newspaper, said family members and APC were already on their way to Akwanga to sympathize with the victim.
