Ban On Okada, Others: Kaduna Police Commissioner Tasks Officers To Ensure Compliance

The Commissioner of Police Kaduna Command CP Abdullahi Mudassiru has directed Officers and men to ensure the strict and wholesome enforcement of the State Government directives as provided by the Security Challenges Containment Order 2021.
According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  ASP Mohammed Jalige, dated September 30, 2021, the CP gave the directive during the monthly conference with management team, Strategic Commanders and all Divisional Police Officers in the State, on Thursday 30th September, 2021.

The CP moreover highlighted inter alia the security advisory measures as follows;
“Total ban on the use of motorcycle for commercial or personal use across the state.
“Total ban on charcoal and firewood transportation within and out of the State.
“Total ban on livestock and foodstuff transportation in and out of the State.
“Ban on the sales of petroleum products in jerry-cans and containers in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Chikun, Igabi, Kachia, Kagarko and Kajuru LGAs.
“Ban on the felling of trees and forestry activities in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Chikun, Igabi, Kachia, Kagarko and Kajuru LGAs.
“Cessation of weekly markets in Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Chikun, Igabi, Kajuru, and Kawo in Kaduna North LGA.
“Tricycle is allowed to operate between the hours of 0600hrs to 1900hrs.
“Closure of all mobile phones commercial charging points, shops, kiosks, etc.”
While assuring the good people of the State of the safety of their lives and property, the CP warned Officers to be fully above board while carrying out the enforcement, as there will be severe consequences for misconducts that will be meted to anyone found wanting.
