Jigawa State Governor, Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar has tasked youth on the need to imbibe politics with decorum, issues, dignity, intelligence, and hard work for collective good.
Speaking at a dinner and presentation of Award of Excellence and Hard Work on him by Executives of the Northwest Progressive Movement in Collaboration with the Coalition of Badaru at Dutse Emir Golf Pitch in Dutse, he said that, “It was about time we transformed our political pattern to confirm with present challenges from politics of aggression to politics of issues, intelligence, corrective and hard work.
“I am honoured and very proud of you over the gesture done to me. I will continue to pray, guide and serve as a mentor towards your success at all times. I have seen changes in you and urge you to continue to maintain the tempo and continue to be tolerant to one another.”
Governor of Badaru Abubakar said he is deeply touched by the gesture, adding that the unity, intelligence and maturity among the youth in the state shows there is light at the end of the tunnel.
The Governor said the development which he witnessed in the attitude of the youth that used to be intolerant but have changed with time to be the best example of in the state and the country at large.
He added that he will continue to carry the youth along in all his endeavours because of the tremendous contributions they are giving towards the success of his administration.
The governor who also admitted to being a disciple of President Muhammadu Buhari, said Jigawa State has benefited immensely from the APC-led government since its inception.
He said the state government has benefited from three tertiary institutions, school feeding and many interventions through the TETFUND.
Also, the governor said Jigawa State has benefited from road construction done by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari which include Shuwarin to Kwanar Huguma among others.
“In the area of agriculture, the Buhari administration has rehabilitated the irrigation system in Hadejia Valley and has construction new around the Kazaure area,” he added.
During the event, presentation on the achievements of Governor Badaru Abubakar in the last six years were made by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Empowerment, Muhammad Sheikh Mujaddadi and the Commissioner of Lands and Housing, Sagir Musa Ahmad.
