The residents of Tudun Biri on Sunday, received the Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan who joined Christian Community in Tudun Biri to celebrate Christmas.
The visit was to extend solidarity to the Christian community to celebrate this year’s Christmas with them following unfortunate incidents.
The commissioner, joined in harmony and determined resilience to emerge from the depths of tragedy which took place at the community in Kaduna.
Samuel Aruwan was quite moving to be among the people, Muslim and Christian, he has been engaging and working with this community since the unfortunate incident of December 3, 2023.
According to the commissioner who advised them not to lose hope and also to strengthen their faith, he was there for two reasons; first, to attend the Christmas Service at Nagarta Baptist Church, in commemoration of the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The second reason was to further extend the solidarity and support of Governor Uba Sani, the Armed Forces and other critical stakeholders following the incident.
He however, said he also went to explain directly the ongoing work towards fulfilling the promises made by the government.
The commissioner noted the resilience and steadfastness exhibited by children, women, youth and men of the entire community, including their neighbours, are a demonstration of unity, tolerance and togetherness at work for the common good of mankind.
“I am grateful to the Imam and the Pastor for their sterling leadership and submission to the will of God in all that has befallen their people.
Samuel Aruwan said that Tudun Biri’s togetherness is a model that should be emulated by other communities.
In a response, the church Reverend Musa Saidu commended the Commissioner and the Kaduna State Government for identifying with the community, he described the visit as a move into right direction.
