Arrangements have been concluded for the hosting of the 7th Kaduna State Sports Festival.
Commissioner of Sports Development, Dr. Idris Samaila Nyam dropped the hint, while delivering a welcome address at the final of the Kaduna @ 55 Soccer Tournament, at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday June 17, 2022.
He said arrangements concluded to kickstart 7th Kaduna State Sports Festival.
Although the commissioner did not say exactly when the festival will commence, he called on the local government areas in the state to submit names of their representatives
“I wish to call on all LGAs that are yet to submit names of their participants to do so without waste of time,” he charged.
According to him, the bulk of athletes that will represent Kaduna State at this year’s National Sports Festival (NSF), will be selected from the state sports fiesta.
Speaking further, he revealed that plans are on to remodel the Kaduna Township Stadium, just like the Murtala Square was done.
“We are planning to remodel Kaduna Township Stadium and others in the state,” he said.
On the Kaduna @ 55 Soccer Tournament, he described it as an avenue to further promote love and peace in the state.
