Arewa Group Advises Traditional Institutions To Preach Unity

A Non Governmental Advocacy Group known as Truly and Fully Arewa Movement of Nigeria, based in Northern Nigeria has advised traditional institutions to emphasis more on the need for a united Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The advise was made during a courtesy visit to the chairman Council of Obas and Chiefs in the 19 Northern states of Nigeria and Abuja,  His Royal Highness, Ambassador Mohammed Arigbabuwo, in his Kaduna resident.

The group also has advised the Federal Government to give roles to traditional institution in building the country as a whole.

The group headed by Alhaji Ismail Mohammed, based in the North with core objectives of fostering peace and harnessing the diverse interests of the North in particular and Nigeria in general.

The group, who’s priority is to foster peace and unity among the ethnic religious interests in Northern Nigeria in particular and Nigeria in general, commended the monarch for granting them audience as he emphasised  the need for a united Nigeria under the leadership of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President Federal Republic of Nigeria.

During the visit, the group leader commended the monarch for granting him and his team audience, while applauding the style of leadership which has helped in bringing together multi ethnic, multi religious and other diverse interests in the North.

Alh. Ismai’l a champion and advocate of peace and peaceful coexistence, emphasised during the visit, the need for all, irrespective of ethnic, religious or political backgrounds, to embrace and support the present administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu whom he described as God’s anointing so that collectively they can build a better Nigeria.

He further called on the key political actors in the 2023 general elections, especially the opposition parties and their candidates to sheath their swords and join hands with  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu whose capacity to bring about the needed reforms that will better the lots of Nigeria and Nigerians is in no doubt.

 He therefore, called for total support to the government and her policies especially now that the country is undergoing many challenges.

In his response, the monarch appreciated the leadership of the group for deeming it fit to visit him,  applauding the vision, patriotism and courage of thier  leader, Alh. Ismai’l Mohammed, whom he described as young patriotic citizens, “The kind that the nation earnestly desires at moments like this.”

 The monarch further implored the leadership of the group not to relent in the pursuit of the objectives and  vision of the organization as he pledged to support in all ramifications, the activities of the group so that the message can be heard across the nation.

He then pronounced blessings upon the leader and  other members of the group and thereafter, closing prayers were offered by both the Muslim and  Christian spiritual leaders.
