The wife of the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hajiya Titi Atiku Abubakar has drawn the ears of the ruling All Progressives’ Congress (APC) not to leave anything behind as it leaves the presidency soonest.
Rather, she reminded the party to pack its bags and baggages and go because of the suffering meted out to the people of the country.
Hajiya Abubakar gave the advice in Calabar, during a town hall organized to create awareness on her “SHE campaign”.
She said, “my husband has come to unify the country and promises to end all the challenges the women are facing”.
The SHE campaign, she noted, “is the women aspect of Atiku Abubakar’s Covenant with Nigeria agenda” and is centered around security, health and education.
She said, “APC must pack their loads and go, the suffering is too much. They have changed the Naira and I don’t know how the rural women are faring. My husband has come again and wants to save souls as well as the children of our women.
“He does not want to experiment but is a unifier and will bring back Nigeria to the glory we were enjoying before. If you vote him into the saddle, all our problems will end,” she assured.
As a means to mitigate the challenges faced by the women, she offered scholarship up to university level to fifty students from the state.
Dame Edith Okowa, the wife of the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate in her remarks, said only an Atiku/Okowa presidency will change the present quagmire.
She regretted, “every New Year should be better, but things get worst as the new year unfolds,” adding that Atiku can rescue the country and a vote for PDP is a vote in the right direction.
Earlier, Obioma Liyel Imoke, the wife of the leader of the party in the state, Liyel Imoke, said any vote outside Atiku is a waste of vote.
She said Atiku Abubakar has not come to the state to campaign because the APC has campaigned for them through their abysmal performance.
Also speaking, Chioma Gershom Bassey, the “SHE”Coordinator in the state, said, “we are focused on the interest and progress of women in Nigeria.
“SHE campaign seeks to address all the challenges women are facing in the country as soon as we get into office.
“Atiku has a five-point covenant and I have added the SHE to the He”, she noted.
