Alhaji  Yakubu Installed  4th Ejeh Of Ankpa

Alhaji Ahmed Yakubu has been installed  as the 4th Ejeh of Ankpa in a hilarious ceremony in Ankpa by the governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on Saturday, with a call on the paramount  traditional ruler to unite his subjects.

While handling the affairs of his people, the governor appealed to the Ejeh  to be impartial and ensure justice and fairness in handling the affairs of his domain.

“As the paramount ruler of Ankpa, the Ejeh is now entrusted with the responsibility of becoming the father of all that is tasked with the duty of dispensing justice without bias or favoritism,” Bello said.

He urged the Ejeh to make peace the watch word of his administration among his subjects saying that unity is pivotal to ensuring the security and prosperity of Ankpa.

“Today, we are here to celebrate you, my brother Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu, as the 4th Ejeh of Ankpa through the presentation of the Staff of Office and

with this honour, you have become the father of all and you must be just and equitable in all circumstances”.

According to the governor, “Ankpa is blessed with abundant natural and human resources and one can only harness these resources in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility”.

In his prelude to political appeal to the  people, the governor stressed the importance of peaceful co-existence among the problem people especially as the state approaches the upcoming governorship election that ushers political titans.

He said, “This is election season and representatives from various political parties are present here, appealing to them to refrain from actions that are inimical to the peaceful conduct of the election.

To him, his government is resolute and the security agencies are vigilant stressing that no act of violence will be tolerated before, during, and after the election.

The presentation of Staff of Office to Alhaji Abubakar Yakubu, the 4th Ejeh Ankpa, attracted dignitaries from all walks of life.

They include the Atta Igala and Chairman, Kogi State Traditional Council of Chiefs, His Royal Majesty, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa Ogwuche-Akpa, the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III and the Etsu Nupe, Dr. Yahaya Abubakar.

Others include, the Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umar Rada; former Governor of Kogi State, Capt Idris Ichalla Wada; former Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema and the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Audu among others.
