AGILE Projects Commissioned At GGSSS Daura

School Based Management Committee (SBMC) of Government Girls Science Secondary school (GGSSS), Daura has commissioned projects executed under the Adolescent Girl Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) programme in the school.

The projects executed include, total renovation of the school assembly hall and provision of desk and chairs in the hall, as well as the renovation of 18 classrooms for conducive atmosphere of learning.

 Addressing the gathering, the SBMC chairman of the school, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Magayaki said they spent over twenty six (46) million naira on the projects.

He said the projects would no doubt improve the conducive atmosphere of learning in the school.

Magayaki commended the World Bank for the support towards the success of the projects.

 In her address, the school Principal Hajiya Sa’a Haruna enumerated the types of the projects carried out in the school.

She warned the students to safeguard the buildings against vandalization.

 The representative of the state Ministry of Education, who is also the Daura zonal co – ordinator of Education, Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar said over 500 schools have benefited from the AGILE programme in Katsina State.

He expressed satisfaction with the quality of the projects.

Alhaji Ahmed Abubakar commended Katsina State Government and International donors for the support.

  In a good will message, the Secretary of Daura Local Government, Alhaji Laminu Gidado expressed satisfactions with effort of the SBMC of the school and called on the students to make good use of the buildings.
