Two Nigerians made history on Sunday with Bayern Leverkusen to win the club’s first ever Bundesliga title, after going unbeaten in a match that have made them champions with 5 matches to end the season.
The duo of Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, were part of the golden Leverkusen squad who did what Arsenal did 20 years ago when they win the title unbeaten.
With five matches left to end the season, Leverkusen who have 79 points from 29 matches go 16 points adrift Bayern Munich, which makes it practically impossible for the champions of the Bundesliga to lose the title.
Leverkusen have become the second club in European top flight league to accomplish the invincible feat.
Meanwhile, Arsenal who were looking forward to winning the title after 20 years lost to Aston Villa by 2-0 today, to hand the title over to Man City.
