The Commandant, Air Force Comprehensive School (AFCS) Kano, Wing Commander M. Garba has reiterated his academy’s commitment to motivating teachers of the school towards ensuring that quality education is always given to their students.
He disclosed this in his address at the “World Teachers Day” held at the school, adding that AFCS Kano is always determined to graduate the best students and from what is being seen, there is an institutional cooperation between the school authority and the teachers which is very remarkable.
Wing Commander M. Garba announced that teachers remain the pillars of any nation, “therefore, they need extra support from every angle in order to give their best and with every sense of motivation, the education sector would continue to change for the betterment of this great country.”
The Commandant thanked the Nigerian Air Force authority for establishing comprehensive schools across this country, providing all the necessary logistics and facilitating conducive teaching and learning atmosphere as well as taking good care of the schools without bias.
Wing Commander Garba said, ” we would continue motivating our teachers and providing all the required working atmosphere so that our young generation would continue to be the best graduands and good ambassadors of AFCS Kano.”
Two papers were presented by guest speakers, Dr. Yau Ahmad Sara of the School of Continuing Education, Bayern University Kano, and Hajiya Fatima Shehu Abdulwahab, the wife of the chairman of the Air Force Comprehensive School’s PTA, Air Vice Marshall Umar Ibrahim (rtd).
Some of the teachers that had an interaction with our correspondent at the end of the occasion, disclosed that they are being treated well in order to ensure that sound education is given to the students of the school without obstacles.
They also commended all the teachers and other staff of the academy for their determination in promoting education at the grassroots.
They thanked the Commandant, Wing Commander M. Garba and all his lieutenants for keeping the school conducive for teaching.
