Founder and National President of the Super Eagles Supporters Club (SESC), Prince Vincent Okumagba at the weekend, commended the club members for the successful outing at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 in Cote d’Ivoire.
The SESC National President in a statement also expressed gratitude to notable Nigerians that contributed financially and otherwise to the successful one month outing.
According to him, the support by the SESC members and other Nigerians made significant impact on the welfare of all SESC members in Abidjan to support the Super Eagles, adding, ” it is times like these that we realize the true power of unity and team work, and I’ am proud to say that we have a group of supporters who exemplify these values with their every action.”
“Although, our journey did not culminate into lifting the coveted trophy after coming so close, I firmly believed that we displayed immense strength, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the competition”, he said.
The SESC National President added, ” Your presence in the stands, your chants, and your unwavering faith in our team and country truly made a difference and inspired both the players and management (NFF) alike.
“ As we reflect on the journey we undertook together, let us remember the moment of triumph, the lesson learned in defeat, and the bonds that were strengthened along the way. Your support is the cornerstone of our team’s success and for that, I offer my deepest gratitude.”
Prince Okumagba stressed, ” I hope this message finds you well, I write to you today with a heart full of gratitude and admiration for the unwavering support you showed during our nation’s cup journey in Cote D’ivoire. Your dedication and sacrifice did not go unnoticed, and I am deeply thankful for the effort the committee led by Mr. Nnadi Chigozie and each and everyone of you put in to cheer on our team (Super Eagles)”.
