Adamawa Reps  Member Thanks Speaker Abbas For Naming  Him Chair House C’tee On Police

representing Fufore/Song Constituency, Honourable Aliyu Wakili Boya  has appreciated the Speaker, Rt Hon Tajjudeen Abbas for naming him the House Committee on Police Institutions Chairman.

While expressing his deepest appreciation to Speaker Abbas, for entrusting him with the crucial role, Boya said the esteemed responsibility comes with a profound sense of duty.

According to him Abbas’ confidence on his abilities to deliver is not taken lightly and he is dedicated to justifying the trust through diligent service and unwavering commitment.

Announcing his new role in the Lower House of the National Assembly, the young lawmaker said that he is well-positioned to ensure effective oversight of matters concerning police institutions across the nation.

He reiterated that he belongs to many House committees, as a member, especially the House Committee on Federal Colleges of Education, maintaining that he is fully aware of the multifaceted responsibilities that come with legislative oversight.

He said the unique nature of his new role requires a special emphasis on the oversight of police schools, academies, and colleges nationwide.

“My oversight responsibilities extend to the Police School Academy in Wudil, as well as all other police colleges and training schools across the country. Additionally, I will be overseeing the operations of the Police Service Commission, ensuring that its activities align with the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

“The scope of my duties encompasses a broad range of issues related to police personnel training and development. I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure that our police force receives the necessary support, resources, and training to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and service to the Nigerian people.” Boya said

In his letter of appreciation to the Honourable speaker Boya stressed the importance of fostering a strong and symbiotic relationship between law enforcement agencies and the communities they serve. Through collaborative efforts, he said they can address challenges, implement reforms, and build a safer and more secure Nigeria for all.

“I am optimistic about the positive impact we can achieve together, and I look forward to collaborating with my esteemed colleagues, stakeholders, and the Nigerian public to fulfill the mandate of the House Committee on Police Institutions.

“Once again, I express my gratitude to Mr. Speaker and my fellow Members of the House for this opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development and oversight of our nation’s police institutions.
