ABLEGOD Women Development Forum Inaugurates 5,000 National, State Executives

The Director-General of The AbleGod Women Development Forum, Ambassador Funmi Gafar on Wednesday disclosed that the Forum is organising an award/ inauguration of 5,000 members of her national and state executives .

Addressing a press conference, Ambassador Gafar also said the Forum will hold a fund-raising for empowerment on food security on Saturday, 4th November at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

She stressed that contributions made to the organisation would make the organisation to provide essential resources, create sustainable livelihood opportunities and promote education and skill development for their members Nationwide.

Ambassador Gafar noted that all the national, state and local government executives to be inaugurated would be part of the Road Walk on Thursday 2nd November, 2023 in Abuja.

She maintained that the Forum has a well developed comprehensive programme that focuses on empowerment and food security to address the specific needs and challenges of its over 1.7 million members across the length and breadth of Nigeria.

According to the Director General, the event which is expected to start at 10am will have important dignitaries including the APC  National Chairman, Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, the First lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu,  as special guests of honour.

Others are the Executive Governors, Distinguished Senators, House of Rep members, Chief of staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the SGF, H.E. George Akume, DG, Women Development Centre Hajia Asabe Vilitas, DG, Amalgamated APC Support Groups, Dr. Nasir Ladan and a host of others as special guests at the event. 

Also, she said other invited dignitaries are influential leaders, community members, special guests who support the Forum’s mission in the 774 local government areas of the nation. 

The forum’s primary goal is to foster the growth and development of women, enduring equal opportunities and brighter future for all women, knowing full well that when women thrive, the society benefits as a whole.

The event is being brought together to launch the initiative and also create awareness about the importance of women empowerment and food security in the nation.
