Secretary of ABG Campaign Team, Abdullahi Yerima in response to allegations made by Adamu Dattijo, Chairman of Samaila Suleiman Campaign Organisation who accused the former Member House of Representatives of blackmailing officials of people’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna North of receiving monetary inducements to vote Suleiman in the forthcoming primary election.
Yerima exonerated his principal of the allegation, saying there was never a time ABG had accused the Reps Member of bribing PDP delegates for their votes, adding that if indeed Suleiman was innocent he wouldn’t be crying more than the bereaved.
“I want our humble and respectful PDP stakeholders in Kaduna North and the state in general to know that we carefully selected our campaign team and our social media handlers, they are men and women of credible character, they will not in anyway belittle our party members or leaders, not to talk of accusing them in anyway” Yerima stated.
He said party officials, whom he described as men of integrity can defend themselves through the Public Relations Officer of PDP in Kaduna North.
” We wouldn’t have responded to Samaila Suleiman’s campaign Chairman spurious allegations and use of gutter language on the person of our principal, including the accusation he made against ABG of scuttling his chances of becoming elected Boss of Kaduna North.
” It is on record that ABG has contributed financially and generously too to secure victory for Adamu Dattijo who was PDP Kaduna North candidate in the recently held Local Government Election in the state.
” It is not ABG’s fault if he (Dattijo) failed to win his ward by scoring only 52 out of total number of valid votes cast in his poling unit, including losing the whole of Doka Constituency where he comes from despite enormous moral and financial investment from us and many other PDP Chieftains in the state.
” Your accusation against ABG of an unholy political romance with Sadiq Mamman Lagos and collecting financial help, including 20 million Naira and machines from a Central Zone Senator is laughable and the height of a childish mischief.
” The last time We checked, your Candidate was the Senator’s Chief Political Adviser and in addition, it’s a public knowledge Samaila Yakawada, a now Chieftain of APC is your political godfather.
“Wouldn’t it be a huge advantage for our great party to have supports across party lines so it can be explored to win the General Election?” Yerima inquired.
The ABG Campaign further noted that it was not unusual for an ingrate who had been favoured several times by the electorate to show his true colour of ingratitude and desperation to hold onto a political position against all moral compass and political values.
“We all know that your principal, Samaila defected from the ruling APC on whose platform he won election twice in 2015 and 2019.
“His joining the opposition PDP in the prelude to party primaries after falling out of favour with Chieftains of his estranged party was believed by many to be responsible for overheating the Kaduna North politics” he added.
