ABG Provides Free Medical Services To 5,000 Constituents, In Kaduna North LG

New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Kaduna North House of Reps candidate, Hon. Shehu Bawa ABG has provided free medical services to over 1,500 persons with one form of ailment or the other, in Ungwar Rimi, Kaduna. 

While declaring open the free medical outreach to members of Kaduna North Federal Constituency on Sunday January 5 in U/Rimi, ABG said he was motivated to provide essential treatments to people with ailments who could not go to hospitals due to lack of resources.

He disclosed that the programme would cover all 12 wards in the Constituency with an overall target of 5000 beneficiaries.

The House of Reps hopeful lamented the present hard times being experienced by Nigerians whom he noted had been boxed into extreme corners that they could hardly feed themselves and families due to lack of compassion for the masses from the current administration.

He enjoined voters not to repeat past mistakes, urging the electorate to elect credible individuals with good track records and commendable antecedents in public and private enhancements.

“Nigerians are really going through difficult times under the present administration which doesn’t give a damn wether they eat or not.

“I feel unsettled seeing people with one form of ailment or another without the means to accessing medical services.

“Thus in my own little way I am moved by the passion and zeal to come to the aid of people in need of medical care by ensuring I organize and sponsor special  medical programmes free of charge at least twice and three times every year to alleviate their sufferings, “he added.

Dr. Ahmed Bello who is the organizer for the programme couldn’t suppress his amazement at the high turnout of people, particularly elderly men and women for the free medical outreach.

Explaining further, he stated that persons with common ailments, ranging from hypertension, diabetes, ulcer, malaria, typhoid, skin and eye problems were given medication after going through diagnosis.

Dr. Bello , a medical doctor with Al-Eiman Foundation added that pregnant women and children were also not left out as antenatal checks and medications , mass deworming services had also been made available for beneficiaries.

“I was particularly impressed by the zeal and passion shown by these people who have one form of ailment or the other.

“I can assure you we are fully prepared for the huge crowd of people you’re seeing here today with diagnosis equipment and testament materials for various illness that are common which if left untreated could lead to serious and devastating consequences,”he warned.

A beneficiary Maimuna Ahmed who said she received  drugs for chronic ulcer that had disturbed her for so long and could not buy drugs due to lack of money, adding that she responded to the call of free medial service bankrolled by ABG.

She described the politician as compassionate with the interest of people at heart, urging others to emulate ABG by remembering welfare of the masses.

Another beneficiary who had her five-year-old daughter suffering from malaria strapped to her back said she was attended to in pristine order and gotten medication for the ailing girl.

She pointed out that it was not the first time she was benefitting from ABG’s free medical services, adding that she had on several other occasions received kind gestures in material folds from the politician.

Malam Musa who got tested on high blood pressure and was given medication was full of praises for ABG , saying the politician had never forsaken the people in their time of needs.
