Former Member House of Reps Hon. Usman Bawa popularly known as ABG has congratulated the just elected national leaders of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), saying emergence of credible and formidable officials of the opposition party a pointer to the ruling APC to start preparing their handover notes.

ABG stated that success of Saturday’s election that produced generally acceptable officials whom he noted were already giving APC insomnia and restlessness even before the 2023 general election due to tactfulness, high pedigree, popularity and political ingenuity of the elected National Leaders, revealing that a clear path to victory had been secured.

He described in particular the election of a 25-year-old National Youth Leader of the party, Mohammed Kadade Suleiman who hails from Kaduna State as beginning of a new era in Nigeria’s polity where youth would be part of key decision-making process, responsible for charting a new course for the country in years ahead.

The former Federal legislator decried high cost of living, rising insecurity, poor infrastructures and lack of direction across Nigeria, pointing out that general resentments among masses an indication that electorate were long ago fed up with the current administration and the yearnings for genuine change a signal that days of APC in power had come to an end.

The PDP stalwart advocated Cohesion, unity, loyalty, high sense of direction and above all prioritizing welfare of Nigerians as guiding principles of the party, which according to him would go a long way in endearing the hearts of the electorate to the opposition party.

“The handwriting is boldly clear on the wall that APC days are numbered due to abject and perpetual hardship they brought upon Nigerians in all walks of life .

“We have never had it this bad in our lives as citizens of this beautiful country since independence.

“Virtually every important sector, public and private has been rendered ineffective by the present administration which came to power on account of the goodwill it enjoyed from Nigerians.

“Nigerians’ hope for good, responsible and effective leadership at the centre has been dashed and they have lost faith in this government which has nothing more to offer except unending lies and propaganda.

“I assure the electorate they won’t be making another fatal mistake as they did in 2015 and repeated same in 2019 if they vote us in 2023 because we have learnt lessons and ready to make amendments to ensure good governance enshrined in rule of law and commitment to constitution which is the sure way to providing sustainable welfare for Nigerians and bequeath a prosperous country to generations yet unborn.

“From elder Iyorchia Ayu, the now National Chairman of the party to his Lieutenants and subordinates in zones and states, I believe in their leadership abilities to steer our great party to triumph, build and make it a consistent formidable platform for all Nigerians,” he said.
